Expert Posts: 1477 Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton	I've alway waited til last minute but I think this is as close to Christmas I've come. Sorry this may be a bit long... I'm making something like a photo collage for a person very very special to me. He is a Nbha district director(not mine) but he is my #1 supporter. A lot of people know him and I think he has some family on here so I won't call him by name. I've never had anyone to cheer me on, pick me up after bad runs or motivate me to keep going when I'm ready to quit due to my circumstances that are beyond my control, like he does. I can call him any time for anything and he's always willing to help me with any problem wether it be horse related or personal issues. We talk almost every week but I only get to see him a few times a year. I lost my only grandfather in 2010 3 days before Open world started. My grandfather was the 2nd most important man in my life and it flipped my world upside down. Naturally I was having a bad week at world. I couldn't sleep and wouldn't eat because I just wasn't hungry and was constantly crying. I got a text from this man while I was in the warm up pen before my 1st run of the 2nd go and exactly 1 week since my grandfather passed. I won't share here but he said but it's something I will never forget because with what it said and the wording he used it felt as if my grandfather had sent me that message and a feeling of peace went over my whole body. I made it to the short go on that run and dedicated my short go run to my grandfather. I hit a barrel. In some weird way felt as if I had let my grandfather down. This man met me out back behind the arena and agin I will never forget everything he said to me. I can't begin to explain what he means to me. No one can replace my grandfather but this man comes close. This year at open world the photographer got 2 very good pictures of him in the stands cheering during my runs. I'm going to put them both in a big frame along with a poem or quote or maybe both. On a separate piece of paper I'm going to tell him in my own heartfelt words just what he means to me. But I'm having trouble with finding a poem or quote to put with the pictures. Do anyone have any suggestions on any? Or know anyone in our sport poetic that I could have write one even if I have to pay for it?

Expert Posts: 1409 Location: Oklahoma	I am using a poem this Christmas for my best friend that I haul with. unfornately it doesn't look like we will be hauling together in 2015 due to her moving away. I found it on the OCA website (Oklahoma Cowgirls Association) go to the very bottom of page enter site and then go to inspirational there is several poems on there. The one that I am using and fits to a T is a fiend in the Alleyway. I will miss my friend so much! I can always count on her not to sugar coat my runs lol
