I buy Sears hoses. When they leak etc I take them back and get a replacement. Don't give them any explanation because some of the nut cases seem to get offended if you tell them a horse stepped on it with shoes. The black rubber hoses are better but I have the green ones too. These are the ones I have had replaced.

I have had horses actually eat ie chew up/destroy the heavy duty green ones. As in this fall.

I second the Sears black hoses.  We have about 400' total.  I've mowed them, horses have stepped all over them, frozen into the ground, and rarely do they spring a leak.   These started as 4-100' pieces and now I have probably 8 pieces due to repairs (cutting out the few holes and putting on new ends).  ALL of mine are over 10 years old now, with the oldest pieces going on 20 years old.  Great stuff.

I have the good heavy black hoses from Wal-Mart.  They are very heavy and have the good heavy metal ends.  They are expensive but well worth it.  Hubby kept taking mine to the barn and arena so I got him his own since he was to tight to get it himself.

Why don't you take the ones in tack back and get FREE replacements. I had a brand new green 100 ft and the electric co tree trimmers ran over it with their track giraffe thing. I just took it back and got a new one. They have an unconditional lifetime warranty.

When I first read this I read 'Horses!' not 'Hoses'  so then when I clicked on the link and I saw your post '... my last 'horse' bit the dust and its time to buy some new ones...'   I thought dern thats kinda harsh....   hahahahahaha   it wasn't until I started reading the replys that I reread your post and saw it was 'hoses' not 'horses'...  hahahahahahahahaha
