I Recently ordered a HR barrel saddle from my local Saddle and Tack dealer, it has yet to come in and was wondering if anybody has used an HR barrel saddle before. The pros/cons? Anything you didn't like, anything your really liked? They have a great return policy so if I end up not liking it I can take it back, just was wanting some additional information before it arrives! Thanks!!

I had one for a couple years, the quality of the leather was pretty nice, but I didn't like the saddle. It wasn't the most comfy to ride in and the tree came apart 2 times. It did have the 5 year replacement/repair, so I sent it in each time. I never rode it hard
(maybe 80-100 times total
) or had any falls, etc with it. After the 2nd time, I got it fixed and passed it along down the road. Sorry it isn't a positive experience and I am not saying they are all like that. Just a heads up if it starts to ride a little funky, you may want to have the tree checked.

I have an HR that I won a few years ago that I love using as a trail saddle or just to pasture ride for conditioning, but it didn't have as deep of a seat as I like to run barrels in. Mine has held up well and it is 5 years old.

I bought new HR about a year ago and have had no problems with it. At the time, the leather quality was a lot nicer than the new Circle Y's and Billy Cook's I had been looking at, in the same price range. Plus, like you said, great return policy.
