What is the best thing to clean the inside of an oven?  We are moving out our rental and I want the oven to look good as new.

It is electric but the stove top has the things on it like a gas stove would have.  I need to clean under those but I am unable to to get them off.   Either I was to tired to figure it out last night or I just didn't try hard enough.

are you talking about the drip trays? you can buy new ones for like 5 bucks. the electric burners should come unplugged and you can replace them easy peasy! your landlords will be happy with you!

Take them off, spray with oven cleaner and put them inside the oven and run a self clean cycle. All that grime will be powder at the end. Or just replace them.

There is a spray you can use! We used it cleaning out our rental property after it was trashed made it look brand new! It's a specific oven spray, comes in a black bottle (I know that's not extremely helpful) but you spray it on and let it sit for like 10-15min it doesn't smell the greatest but it works and makes almost everything come off with minimal scrubbing. You could try looking for it or something similar in the cleaning section at like Walmart or Target, I know Home Depot or Menards carries a lot of similar things as well.

I think I know what you are talking about.  I will look for it next time I go to the store.

I've never had to clean my oven because I've never used it. I do however use it to store kitchen junk!

To funny. Just started mine last night. Online I saw where you heat your oven to 200 yuan it of. Place bowl of ammonia on middle/Top ack and bowl of boiling water on bottom. Let set overnight and it's just supposed to whip off.

Sprinkle baking soda really heavily on the bottom of the oven and then water to make a paste. Let it sit overnight and you'll be able to wipe it off with paper towels the next day. Easy, no fumes.

My MIL gave me a tip that I'm going to try next time I clean mine. For the racks she said to fill your bathtub with water and fabric softener, stick 'em in and forget about them. Then when you go to take them out the gunk falls right off.
The racks are the worst part for me so I hope this works!

Let us know how that works.  If it works good I may have to borrow someones tub since we don't have one....
