Currently have a fiberglass treed saddle, but looking for something lighter that will allow my horse less restricted movement. Can anyone recommend one treeless brand over another? Pros & cons?

The debra sibley is a nice saddle. Mybe not the greatest leather quality, but i understand you can get an upgrade in leather. But i can truly say they are one of the most balanced saddles youmcan ride in. I sold mine on a to a lady that truly neded it more than i. But i wish i had not sold. It fit every horse i had, not that i had a bunch. Really balanced.

I have a Tammy Fischer and Love it. I kind of want to try a Jackie tho I think I would like the lower horn better.

Really like my Tammy Fisher wide tree........good fit, no slip!  Would also like to have a Jackie, but my horse throws me around somewhat and I like the security of the Tammy.  Have had a JBN, but my horse and I both prefer the Tammy

I've only ridden in a bob Marshall. I love it and can't wait to order one. My horse ran very well in it and I could place my legs where I needed to and sit deep. My only dislike is it slips and is easy to over tighten the cinch. So it will take some trial and error till you find a good combination. I have tried a Tammy fisher, but felt like my legs were stuck and I couldn't get the feel I wanted. I felt like a passenger and not a rider, lol

Completely agree with the Tammy Fischer saddles! I looked at a few bob marshalls, but I like the look of a TF better. What brand pads do yall use?

Bob Marshall and Circle Y (Tammy Fischer, Jackie J, and Just B Natural) are the 2 brands that come to mind. Both are safe choices it just depends on your riding style. My sister has the Circle Y JBN and I've ridden in it a few times. It is very comfy and I felt quite secure in it. The Deb Sibley is NOT treeless, it is a flex tree. Just whatever you do, do NOT get a Hilason. Those are junk.

Thanks for the insight! Going to look at a Tammy Fischer tomorrow - crossing my fingers it's what I need!

I ride in a TF, jackie j and bob marshal. They're all great the jackie is probably the most comfortable to me. Some say they can't get up and huss in a TF but I love it for my super ratey 1/2d horse. The more secure seat with close contact with the horse lets me really push him all the way around the barrels.

Does the JJ hold you secure in the turns?

I have had 3 Bob Marshalls that I picked up at his place. Loved the seat. Very comfortable. But didn't like the fenders too much.
I got a Just B Natural and love it! Seat feels like a BM. But the fenders are like a treed saddle. Best of both worlds!

Yes!, I'm quite light and both of my horses are large and push off very hard, I hardly ever "pop up" out of my seat leaving the barrels now. The only real difference between the jj and TF is the horn and back of the seat height (to me anyways)
