I haven't added anything, yet. But I worry about the potential problem. I checked into the cost of treated 2x10 boards to bolt on the bottom. I think it was going to be about $1.50 per running foot. A 50 wide pen would be about 160 feet around. I plan to put these on my panels. Another real problem with panels, IMO, is the "U" shaped foot at the end of the panels. I am going to take a torch to the dozens of panels that we have and make a "L" foot. I have some panels that I designed and had made at a local welding shop with a "L" foot that work just fine. It is beyond me that none of the major panel makers haven't recognized this danger and revamped their design.

Location: Carpenter, WY | you can use conveyor belting from your local feed or grain processor and attach to the bottom of the panel. It's flexible, heavy and keeps the sand or dirt in and the feet out

Quarries or coal mines often have conveyor belting, too. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Mine aren't u-shaped on the bottom, but they are super heavy. I've had horses wreck twice, and the second one about broke her leg. And lost a couple of months training time while she was standing in a stall healing. I very much need to fix them. |

| I used to work at a grain elevator, and I believe this is the company we ordered our pit cover from. They were very reasonable!

Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | You can hang ply wood off the bottom of each panel. Anything I put in a round wouldn't stay there unless it was 8 ft tall and that is debatable. |
