I would look at putting him on Forco since this is an ongoing issue. I highly recommend Total Health Enhancement's GastroPlus. I would call and talk to Bob and see if he can help you out.

Thank you so much. What is Forco ?

Here is some info on their website:

http://www.forco.com/products/horsesupp

Also I don't recall if you said, is your beet pulp molasses free or does it have molasses in it?

Continued prayers.

Also wanted to ask, what does he do when he eats alfalfa? You mentioned he was allergic so I was curious his symptoms. I would look at getting some type of hay pellet. TSC carries a few types. Maybe Timothy would work for him. How good is your hay quality? Silly question to ask but sometimes what we think is "good" hay is really sub par. I like to feed each of mine at least 20-25 lbs of forage/hay a day. I would offer him the hay, use hay pellets as feed or as a booster with your feed, and get him on Forco for sure. Eliminate as much if not all the molasses that you can. Again I highly recommend THE. I would do at least one tub of the fasting formula https://totalhealthenhance.com/equine/products/?route=product/produc... and then put him on the daily dose of top dress formula.

Another option to feed instead of a big bucket of grain is progressive pro add ultimate.   It is a high concentrated feed that you only feed one cup/ feeding, it has all the vitamins and minerals- a concentrated complete fed.  You supplement with good quality hay, beet pulp or some type of hay pellets like above poster suggested for his calories.  I would not put him back on grain.

I would get him on Alfalfa Hay. It slows the gut down. The Horse will then digest his food better. Timothy hay is also a good choice. Sr feed and then Tech Mix Restart. Digestive also added to feed.

Sorry to be MIA.
Again, and as a refresher to the new people who are trying to help me:
I CANNOT FEED ALFALFA (as much as it may help): He breaks out in hives, a fever, and it upsets his stomach to the point where he cannot stand up. He lays on his side and moans. Vet said he's never had a horse to do that.
I did pull his pelleted feed last week after a Board Buddy suggested I pull it.
I feed Molasses free beet pulp pellets that are soaked in warm water for him as it is a bit nippy in the mornings.
He gets Fast Track, 707 digestive pellets, stomach soother, full bucket probiotic was used for 5 days, and I did use THE Animal Element ITZ paste 4 dose, and last but not least he gets 707 Glo N Go all on top of his beet pulp.
He gets fed twice a day by hand in a stall which he is used to, and then gets turned out onto 120 acres with a hay feeder of free choice coastal hay.

As far as the quality of hay, I would guess it is good quality coastal as it keeps my mare just as fat as can be. It is fine cut and it is this years hay. I get it from a family friend at a discounted rate. I have always bought from him. (Not saying I'm not open to it not being good quality, but I have never had a problem with it...)

As far as an update goes I don't have much: He continues to loose weight, and continues to chew and slobber. His  He has stopped moaning and is eating his feed a bit better than last week. Still not all of it but it's a start. He is eating hay a little quicker than before but now he is dunking it in his water bucket before he eats it?

I know I need to call the vet today that a fellow BB recommended and ask to oil him for an impaction just to make sure everything is ok and not nothing is stopped up. I'm selling some tack and a few items on Facebook today in order to have the money to do that.

Please keep praying and also pray that I will have the money to have a vet actually come out and look at him instead of just me sending videos and talking to a vet.

Where do you live in Texas?  I know lots of vet who will let you pay off a bill, maybe you are close to one and can get him in and get him some help.  Edited to add, that the longer you wait the larger vet bill you may be looking at, for both your sakes hope you can figure something out. Although I don't know who wants to take on vet bills and a sick horse, but is there anyone willing to take him that could give him the care he needs?  My vet in Waller county helps clients get set up with, I think it is called  care credt- a credit line to pay off your bill - interest free for 6 months.  My daughter used it to pay off a large bill for her dog.

Figured I would update the rest of the BBs who hadn't Emailed me to see how he was doing. Kind of forgot to over the Holliday....
Mr. Lee went down again around Christmas BUT luckily I had the cash in my pocket to call for my vet this time instead of trying to mask the symptoms. (To God be the Glory for the cash.)
Sure enough: He was impacted!! (I cried because I knew It was my fault he was in pain for so long...)  Vet oiled him and went ahead and checked his teeth over as well. He said his teeth were fine but to bring him in more regularly for check ups before he got that bad again. I had to agree with that slap on the wrist. I mean only have two horses for crying out loud! It shouldn't be that hard for me to keep up with basic maintenece for them and when it's due/ over due.

Anyway, Flash forward to this week:
Man can that boy eat!!! I have changed his feed up per the vet as he didn't think he was getting enough forage in his diet. Working off the advice of my vet he now gets 8 pounds of Timothy Hay pellets (he is alergic to Alfalfa), 707 Digestive essentials and FastTrack. I have cut out every other product. He gets free choice coastal and hand fed Bermuda squares. Little known fact to me Vet said horses need about 20lbs of just forage a day. Didn't know the exact poundage for hay.  Felt terrible after seeing what I was feeding him compared to what I should've been feeding. Poor boy... No wonder he was sick....

Anyway, He looks great compared to what he was in my opinion! I'll try and take pics for ya'll to see him tomorrow morning. Mr. Lee is doing great! And I'm so thrilled because now I know what I did wrong and I take full responsability for that and I know it won't happen again! I Learned a lot in these past few months about basic nutrition from you all. Thank you all so much for all the insight and for caring for and helping my boy. Many Many Thanks. So happy!!

Edited: I didn't see your update when I posted. Good news and glad he is OK.

I think he has something else pain wise, that is causing his ulcers. Something other than internal fretting. I have one that I am treating with a 14 day med from pathogenes.com. I sent blood work in and it showed he had some inflammation. They recommended Orogin for EPM, but after I called in and actually got to talk to the vet there, she is thinking he has an inflammation issue, probably from cutting his foot last April, that can actually make them neurological. He has some strange things going on, but not exactly EPM stuff and not exactly lame. Ulcers was something she wants him treated for since it can cause the bleeding/inflammation. I just wonder if your guy has something else going on causing him pain, which causes the ulcers. Viscous cycle :(
