I heard Fultons were crossing some of their studs on ponys.  Might want to get with them.

A friend of mine showed a shetland pony for years, winning all kinds of things with him. They just retired him last year at the age of 34 years old, only because they out grew him and he was too gate sour for other little kids to race. Now he babysits the foals and is used for lead line lessons for small kids. That pony is worth his weight in gold, you can't put a price on a good pony.

I want to know where to find these $400 and $500 kid safe ponies! I have been looking for one for my daughter for well over a year and have yet to find anything that was remotely rideable for less than $1,200!

We happened upon one for $600. We bought him from someone that I would consider a "trader" or "broker", but she came highly recommended and I've only heard good things about her. He's not technically a "barrel pony", but he'll go just about anywhere you point him and is dog gentle with the kids. He's kind of a PIA as ponies are, but not when there is a kid around him, then he turns into an angel. He was everything she promised he would be. We've had him for 3 years now, and I'd dare to say he has a home for life. I don't know where you're located, but she deals mostly in the TN and FL area. She usually only has barrel horses and several ponies come through. She's not a typical trader that just picks them up at auctions and then flips them for a quick buck. If you're interested, I could give you contact info.

Edited for spelling...

Boo! Too far or I would be calling her today! I'm in CA which is my biggest problem finding horses.
