Location: Oklahoma | Also, what size? I know that my gelding is a L on his fronts, but just wondering if he might be a L or XL on the back without measuring. Best place to get them? I see that Coolhorse has the whole set up (just regular hinds, not Xtra talls) for $175.... does that sound like a good deal? |

| I would definitely measure for size - my gelding was a L in the front and XL behind. I went with the extra talls because he is 16.2 and am so happy I did. My CE boots look tiny on him now lol. |

Thanks! I just braved the cold and rain and measured and he's right at 11.75"... perfect canidate for the XLs! I'm thinking of going with the Xtra talls because he's coming off high proximal suspensory injury (well, just inflammation).. he's only 15.1-15.2ish, but I hate to take any chances. not that a boot is going to really save him, but it will give me peace of mind!! |

Mine has a past suspensory strain as well! Not sure if they're actually providing the support I think they are, but it makes me feel better :) |

| Bumping this up because I am wondering if the xtra tall hind is necessary for my 15.1hh gelding. I'd hate to order them and have them be too tall and uncomfortable for him. So what height is too short for the tall hinds?? |

My gelding is right at the 15.1 - 15.2hh point and the extra talls work just fine on him. |

I ordered some and they're sitting in my trailer. I will try to get a picture of them on my gelding in the next few days for you! |

Location: Bluffdale UT | Yes! the X-tall boots are wonderful. As a side note you can use the hind boots on front (they are longer). These boots have come such a long way in regard to quality and fit. They just keep getting better! Picture of ginormous horse with XL-XL Long boots on front and hind :-) http://edreel.dreamleash.com/hostedsites/edreel/WBRA/Jan%203%202015/ |
