Location: So. Cali. | I am well aware you get what you pay for and I am willing to accept that. I do not have the means to drop $400-$600 on a bridle & breastcollar.
Having said that, I have been eyeing a Showman tack set, however I am wondering how well the breast collars do fit an average horse. (I have requested measurements but no response yet). Just hate to spend the money on a off brand tack set, it not fit and then loose money reselling it.
Thanks in advance! |

Location: Nevada | I bought a headstall breast collar belt style set for my daughter for Christmas. The headstall is really big on all my horses so I just had to drill more holes and had to cut off the excess since it was slapping my horse in the face. The breastcollar fits pretty good. Leather feels thick and good quality but this is the first showman set I have bought so I don't know how well it will stand up to name brand or resell value. |

Location: Missouri | I have had several around. They are more "plastic-y" than your expensive tack sets, but they are still decent quality. The only thing I have found that really didn't fit worth a darn was the belt style headstalls as someone else mentioned. I am pretty sure it is made to fit a Percheron. |

Location: Canada | The Showman are good sets for the money. The headstalls do fit your AQHA horses well but breeds with finer heads it's a bit big on. The breastcollars themselves fit well but the ties are crazy long so you'll need to punch new holes and cut off the excess. I have a number of horses that range from wide to narrow and the breastcollars fits them with adjustments.
Most of their sets do not come with a clip for the cinch so you'll need to purchase one if you want to clip and unclip. Also I have one set from them and I abuse the bananas out of it and 90% of my crystals are still there. My friend bought a well known very expensive set and only used it for special events and most of her crystals are gone.
I have noticed that their teal sets the crystals don't last as long as the clear crystals for whatever reasons.

| I'm a showman dealer and my dad also does custom leather work. He was impressed with the quality of leather for the price. His exact words were that the edges are finished and the leather is nice and thick.
I have several Alamo and Yes key sets and the quality of leather is either comparable or better in the showman set. Where the quality is less, is the hardware IMO. |

| Oh and as far as sizing, they are not nearly as big as Bar H sets |

| I just got a Showman tack set. I absolutely LOVE IT!
I was very impressed with the quality and it looks super stunning on my horse.
I was told by the dealer to make sure I keep the back oiled, so I did that and so far so good. Just stay away from Neatsfoot, it rots the stitching out.

| I bought one and the headstall is not real leather I don't think it feel and looks like plastic. The conchos broke and the headstall came loose. not really good quality and I don't trust riding in it anymore. |

Location: South of Canada and North of Mexico | I had a Bar H I really liked, the breastcollar was a tad small but loved it for the price.
I had my hubbys aunt make the conchos and she also glued crystals onto the set, looked BEAUTIFUL!

Location: S. California Beach | Showman has been stiff/smelly/cheap in the past...all their new stuff is 100x better than in the past. The sets tend to run a ittle big (well mostly everything is big on my tiny horses) LOL |
