So we just got a yearling and honestly I've never had to care and feed one that young! He was just brought up from the pasture and it's obvious he's pretty wormy and for the last few days I think they have just been feeding him a complete feed. We took ownership yesterday afternoon so now I'll be taking over his feed and care. Firstly I need to worm him but I'm not sure with what. Then I need to figure out what to feed him. I don't feed hay as I feed the danco omnis cubes instead and I feed blue bonnet omega force to a few and purina ultium to another few. What are some suggestions?
TIA!

I would worm him per my vets instructions.

Then I would contact Rachel and feed the cubes and BB together as she suggested.  I am not familiar with the BB.  I don't like to over feed yearlings.  So to me, the cubes alone would be fine.

I would get a fecal done to see what worming protocol you need exactly. I feed my weanlings and yearlings Renew Gold and alfalfa. They feel and look great.

Thank you. He really didn't like his cubes last night! He barely touched them.. but when I first introduced them to my other horses they weren't very excited about them either.
