I am an AcuLife patch advocate! I have used them on horses with several different issues with great results.

I used the Aculife and saw no results....

I'm an AcuLife believer and distributor, however, keep in mind it's meant to be another tool in your tool kit, if your horse needs his hocks injected, it may help get you through a weekend, it's not meant to replace injections. And, sometimes getting the patches in the right area to get results takes a few tries as the poster said.

Our AcuLife booth patched horses at BBR finals a few years ago. My patching partner was working on a mare we had to move to a side aisle cuz she was kicking, and just going nuts. I thought to myself, good grief, this horse needs a vet, there's no way these dang things are going to help that mare. The next morning as I was going to feed my horses, the lady's husband stopped me and told me he couldn't believe the difference in the horse the next day, he thought they were a 'miracle'. After seeing the difference, in that case I thought it was as well.

I've also used them on myself when I have muscle spasms in my back and seen some pretty good results. Give them a try and good luck!

Never tried tape or patches but I do use the Back on Track products on myself and I can vouch that they are nearly a miracle....and I was skeptical before I tried it....

3turns - 2015-02-05 10:16 AM Im not sure what tape you are talking about. But I am an avid AcuLife patch user. Yes they work!! If you want more info you can PM me. Michele McLeod used them at the NFR as well are Brady and Riley Minor. I can send you some info if you are interested.

And just wondering?? Why do people have to be so mean and ugly. If you dont like the question, then just dont answer! I just dont understand people!!

Amazingly, I came over to this post to try to get away from those that just don't "get it"  Thanks for being one of the few that tell their experiences and appreciate politeness.

To the op, I've never used the patches but I do believe that draper therapy (very much like BOT) has done good things for me and my horses.

 Ditto!
I have pretty bad scoliosis and the BOT back brace has been a lifesaver for me. My dad got a knee brace before his knee surgery and he's been really happy with it.
I love the leg wraps for my horses; takes any puffiness right out.

I use them on me and my horses. I get sluggish so when I absolutely have to be productive, they help a lot. I can walk around a barrel race or NASCAR track and not be stopped. I have a horse that gets sore feet so I patch her hooves. The only problem I run into is keeping them on a hairy horse or a sweaty one, as well as me when I sweat. I've tried superglue and duct tape on horses to keep them on but even that doesn't stay, medicine tape on myself, but again when I sweat, I can't get it to stay on. I'll continue to use them when things get a little busier.

The kinesology tape wil not come off from sweating even on high motion areas where clothing rubs it. I've swam with it on before and then went back to running with not even the slightest peel or roll up of the tape. The Kineso tape is totally different than athletic tape its not for compression.

exactly - I use the kinesology tape on my knee.  It is only there as a support mechanism.  It doesn't stop pain, or change a gait, or do anything except support the weak ligaments on my knee. It is NOT the same as athletic tape or the acculife patches ... they are totally different products.

I would think when applied correctly it MAY help a horse but it would have to be a very specific area ....
