Can anyone tell me what they called the older MJ saddle with the arrow design on the border? Circle Y, square skirt. Better than that, does anyone know the stats on that saddle? Gullet, bars, twist?

I tried one on the mare I am running, and it actually seems to fit her. I can call the Josey Ranch or Circle Y, but not until tomorrow. Have been searching for a fit for this mare and myself. Not sure if I will like this one in a run, so would like the stats to narrow down the search. I tried googling it but come up with everything BUT that saddle. Any help for my impatient self would be appreciated.

I have several older Joseys. Do you have a picture? I'm not sure what they are called or if they even were designated with names as old as some of mine are.. But if its the same saddle I can go measure for you.. (I love mine and they fit everything I have ever owned.. I have 4 of them)

Even if I took a picture, I could not post it. Technotard alert! (wish I would have copyrighted that word!). I remember when this saddle came out as having a name. I believe it is a narrower tree and maybe SHQH bars? There is no way it would fit my flat backed mare or any of the others I had been riding in a 8" gullet.

I am not particularly fond of the way it sits for me, a bit too broad in the seat bones, and you feel like you are sitting on top of the saddle, not "in" the saddle, if that makes sense....i.e. you lose "feel" of the horse. Also, it fits more like a 14 that a 15" seat

So my options are, to get used to this particular saddle or find something with similar stats that MY butt likes better.

But thanks for answering! I have to go do chores and haul some horses, so if anyone else replies, I appreciate it even if I don't acknowledge it.
