It's been a few years since I've posted but I'm back because my daughter is 9 and ready
(I hope and pray
) to go.
She's been riding for a year on my old roping horse at playdays and around the house.....trotting and sometimes high loping through the barrels. I've just bought her an old barrel horse because she's gotta start sometime so no better time than now. I think he's gonna be a great teacher. My question is who's clinic is best for beginning kids?? Thanks!!

The Josey clinics seem to be centered around kids, but they are taught by the Josey instructors rather than Martha and RE themselves, unless you go to their ranch.
Lynn Mckenzie seems to do great clinics with kids also. Most of hers are "He Paid Your Fees" and more faith based and have been a hit in our area.

Thanks! We've got a LM clinic coming up in March in my area. I'll have to do more checking on it. I wondered about Josey also. Thanks again!

I went to a Jimmie Munroe clinic at that age and it was awesome!

I would recommend Danny and Vicki Reinhardt for beginners. They are super with kids as well as adults. The two clinics I attended were broken down into age groups. My husband and I rode and took a friend's young daughter with us. We all got a lot out of the clinic. They are great teachers.

I highly recommend Lynn McKenzie. She is awesome with riders at all levels but is wonderful with kids. She is big on fundamentals. I have a 9 year old we have been to Lynn's clinics and a Josey Clinic. Lynn is by far the best.

Joseys are great with kid and beginners. Either Team Josey or Martha and RE both are great for kids. Not so much for adults/ non beginners.
