| I do....somewhat. I get most household, personal care, toiletries, vitamins, otc meds, etc items either free or very cheap but FOOD is a different story. I only buy HEALTHY food...fruit, vegetables, and meat for my family there there are little to no coupons for those items so I have to save money on those things by either price matching and only buying it when its on sale or growing it myself. 99% of coupons for food is for junk food that's made in a lab...not grown on a farm. You can almost always get cereal, granola bars, cookies, waffles, pancakes, chips, pop tarts and other junk food for either free or nearly free but my family does not eat that kind of food. What part of couponing is giving you trouble? I'll try to help... |

just household things mainly, I see alot of people are able to double coupons. How does that work? |

| Depending on your area there may or may not be any stores that double coupons. I don't have any local stores that double coupons other than Kroger and they only double up to 50 cents so its not a huge savings. Do you have stores in your area that double coupons? |

| Are you on Facebook? If so, I learned more about couponing by following a few pages on FB than I did trying to learn everything on my own other places. There are tons of pages like "Couponing at Kroger" or "Couponing at Target" find those pages related to the stores you have in your area and learn everything they do on those pages. Its really quite simple once you get it all figured out although I know how frustrating it can be in the beginning. |

Location: Nebraska | I've been couponing for a few months now. I wouldn't say that I'm extreme, but I do save a lot. I'm trying to get better about watching for the sales and stocking up. I don't want to stock up too much because there are only 2 of us and we don't have our own place as of yet. Last time I went to the store I saved $35 using coupons and then got an additional $20 in my savings catcher. I only had 17% savings, but that trip will last me a month on foods and a few months on other things I stocked up on like dog treats and toilet paper! I figure that even though the $55 isn't much, it's still an entry fee to a barrel race!
I also use other apps like swagbucks, jingit, receipt hog, ibotta, checkout 51 and snap to earn money :) So far I've cashed out a $5 giftcard to Walmart and a $5 giftcard to Amazon. My goal for the year is to have Christmas paid off by my apps  |
