What are your thoughts on the best feed/extras for performance bred mares?

We use platinum and exceed 6-way on our performance horses but I definitely want to get the girls the best stuff available. The mares are not on anything other than good grain and hay right now.

good post. Mine are just on good grain and hay as of right now also. They are not bred yet but I have considered THE NitrOxide for blood flow to the fetus while bred.

thats right, the ranch I got my "original" mare from used a brand of protein tubs for all of their broodmares. Thats a cool idea. Easy to use for sure.

Great timing, I was just wondering the same thing for my mare. Breeding her in April and was wanting to start her on a good supplement now.

I put out a tub and my mare would not eat it. A huge waste of money as far a.s I am concerned.

I feed my made a quality 14% feed twice a day along with a couple of flakes of coastal hay at each feeding. I keep out a loose mineral at all times. I always have huge healthy babies.
