We're heading to AZ next week. Can any locals give me the low down on a few things?

Hiking - what are some cool places to go/see? We did Camelback mountain and went up to Sedona a few years ago. Any specific ideas? How about good antique/vintage/thrift stores to visit? Reasonably priced would be an added bonus.

Phoenix the first half, Tuscon the second half. If there's something really cool to see we're not opposed to wander. :)

Hiking - Piestewa Peak. If you go back to Camelback, make sure you are parked legally - particularly if you are within the town limits of Paradise Valley.

Other things to do .. Spring Training starts next week I think. There are plenty of those games.
There are museums in Phoenix, .. the Heard museum, Butterfly Wonderland, etc.

There are vintage stores in downtown or old Glendale.

As for Tucson, a visit to Mt Lemmon is really nice this time of year. They also have some (or used to) have some shops up at the mountain top. Not sure about the vintage scene in Tucson anymore. I haven't lived there in YEARS. Tucson, however, has Old Tucson studios, there is also Tubac south of Tucson. You could also travel to Tombstone or there is is also the Biosphere 2 just north of Tucson.

Pinnacle Peak is an easy hike and then you could swing by Greasewood.  It's an old outdoor bar with good food, lots of character and usually an old guy playing the guitar.  It might not be there next time you visit as there's some relocation/ closing in the works...

 Tucson things:

Biosphere II
The desert museum (desert animals, really more a natural setting zoo)
The Pima air and space museum has a sr-71 blackbird and Kennedy era air force one
Titan missile museum
Day trip down to Sonoita for wine tasting, or over to Tombstone and Bisbee for kitchy old west
Kartchner Caverns or Colossal cave tours
The Gaslight dinner comedy/musical is fun and rated a top Tucson attraction
The gem and mineral show is still ongoing if you like rocks/geology
The Tucson rodeo is also getting started
Wildflowers are blooming around Picacho peak and should make for pretty hiking
