I was told that you are supposed to place a treeless saddle different on a horse's back than a treed saddle, that they're supposed to place a little farther back than a treed saddle. Is this correct? If so, how should I be placing my Tammy Fischer saddle on my mare? Where should the front of the saddle sit? Thanks!

That's how I place my Tammy Fischer saddle. A little behind the shoulder blade. I also use the corrector pad on top of the western back on track blanket.

Okay! I use a 1/2" 5 Star pad on my mare with her saddle. I'll make sure the saddle is slightly behind her shoulder blade next time I ride. If it ever warms up enough for me to ride again, that is! :)
