I have shipped saddles both USPS & UPS, have never had any trouble.

Hoping its just weather related delays on your saddle!!

I lost some nice etched aluminum stirrups sending them USPS. I am a little upset because the buyer wants her $80 returned since they never showed up. Which I understand I would want it back as well BUT she did not pay for insurance on them. She didn't let me know they didn't show up for a month or more after I sent them so by that time I had thrown away the receipt thinking they had arrived. So I have no tracking info.

My post office lady got the ball rolling. The saddle was found and delivered two days later. THANK GOODNESS. It arrived with some damage to the box, but the saddle was fine! Funny thing is I bought a saddle from a state further away and it took 4 days usps to get to me. Got it today!

cowgirl_3207 - 2015-02-19 4:12 PM I shipped out a saddle I sold on the 6th of feburary. It was suppose to arrive on the 13th to is destination. It went into a sort facility on the 12th in Forest Park, IL and has not moved since!!!! I have called several different USPS online numbers and so has the lady that is waiting for it on the other end. They are giving us a run around.....uggggg... saying they aren't sure where it is, or telling us it will show up when it shows up. UGGGGG i am beyond frustrated at this point. The lady at my home town office convinced me to NOT ship it priority so I took her advice since I haven't shipped any of my other saddles priority either and have NEVER had an issue. I did put Insurance on it THANK GOODNESS!!!! My local office I called today and they are calling the MAIN office to see what they can find out for me, but my question is where do I go from here? Any one else have issues like this? I really want my saddle FOUND! What happens if I file a claim and then they find my saddle?

I am sorry she convinced you of this.  Large boxes are shipped lowest priority and can take forever waiting on room for a truck. People want to complain about UPS. but I can track and it eases purchaser and seller's minds. worth every $10 more.  yes if you use a ups store it is pricer. So use the depot or have them pick it up.  saddles are a big deal and should be handled as such. Mail doesnt treat them kindly

I've always been lucky with saddles (knock on wood) BUT i sent blood out for a live blood analysis on my mare early january. It had to go to a location approximately 6 hours away and I paid the extra to have it guarenteed 2 day delivery. A week later it was stuck in the correct city but not delivered. I filed a complaint with Canada Post and was told they would not do anything for another 5 business days. It sat in the correct city for an additional week before someone must have been told to get it out or else and it was hand delivered. Thankfully it was a dried sample so was ok to sit.
