Veteran Posts: 294	First of all my head is huge so the size I would need is like a 71/4" Whats the best looking helmet out there. Does anybody like the Troxels? I heard they were bulky and I don't want my head to look any bigger.

I don't have any stores around me that carry helmets, so I picked out a few from State Line Tack and kept my favorite and sent the others back. Well I ended up keeping two because I couldn't make up my mind LOL. I kept a Tipperary Sportage and a Troxel Intrepid. They are both really low profile and don't look bulky at all. The Tipperary has more ventilation so I think it'll definitely be my summer helmet.

JUST got the Troxel Dakota and I REALLY like it! It's the lowest profile helmet and lightest that I have ever worn. The adjustment mechanism is neat and MUCh improved over the old style Troxel mushroom helmets. The longer visor is nice too for blocking the sun. http://www.troxelhelmets.com/products/dakota

The Ovation was really comfy, just not quite as much ventilation as I wanted for summer. The Tipperary is perfect!

Born not Made Posts: 2931 Location: North Dakota	It will depend on the shape of your individual hear, as far as which brand is comfortable. I have a small oval shaped head. I absolutely love my Tippery Sportage. I tried Troxel in the past and it just hurt my head. I'm led to believe that Troxel fits a more "round head". If you are able to try on several brands, do it. One brand may be comfortable for one person and not for another.
