Location: The Great Midwest | I am temporarily borrowing a saddle until I can get one made for my mare. It fits great but the only problem is the fenders are slick not roughout. Is there anything I can do to help the slickness? My hunter/jumper sister suggested breeches... I think not LOL Any ideas would be great!

| Blackrock, i have a slick seat i keep blackrock. There is some stuff that english people use to make them stick. I also,,would assume a beeswax would do,something simular with out harming leather. Also, maybe spray with water.

| Considering that you are borrowing the saddle, I would check with the owner of it before putting any product on it or altering it in any way... |

No worries its half my saddle, I mean my sister and I used to share it when we did 4h showing. Now we are both too old and in different disciplines. She mainly does her hunter jumpers and said she may do a little showing here and there this year..... Its just been sitting in my dads garage for the past 3 years. So I guess I shouldn't say im borrowing it, im just temporarily using it |

| Personally I like my fenders slick - my pants don't ride up my legs that way. But I second black rock if that's really what you want. |

Same here. I'm not a fan of roughout fenders. |
