How do you know the correct seat size without actually riding the saddle?

Is their a formula of some kind?

Location: Up and over to the right		Every brand fits differently so you're out of luck on that. Plus certain people like say a 15" better than a 14" or a 13" instead of a 15". You just have to try as many as you can.

Location: Kansas		Agreed, every brand has a different fit. My current saddle is a 14" and fits perfect. My last one was a 14.5" and felt a bit tight, both different brands.

Location: The best kept secret in TX		I ride a 14.5 right now.
Don't ask me to try out a 14.5 in certain brands in the store tho... I may get stuck!!  
Some brands I even fit a 16!!
