Location: White Mountains of AZ | Have any of you heard of this stud. My friend has him and a few babies on the ground. Nice looking babies if I might add. He's got babies doing futurities and doing pretty good in them. I'm looking at the babies and his breeding isn't bad at all

Location: Desert Land | I have never heard of him before. I am not particularly in love with his maternal side. There is some good stuff there, but it's too far back to make an impact IMO. |

I agree. Weak maternal line.
If you going to get in breeding, always, always look at the dam side. |

Location: the high desert | I like his bottom side, good old breeding there. No one will like it because its not jam packed with AAA, AAAT race horses or has Dash Ta Fame, Firewater Flit, streak of fling on every other line. I prefer to look for studs that have great conformation (with good bone and foot), good strong work ethic, great disposition/personality, stoic, and then factor in pedigree. I also like to look at his foals, and (if they are of riding age) how are they to be around, break and train, have any gone onto competition etc. I know im one of the VERY few (especially on this forum) that don't mind seeing "old"breeding on a pedigree or foundation/cow breeding, or don't care if i don't see Dash Ta Fame, Fire Water Flit, streak of fling, AAA or AAAT race horses all jammed into one pedigree. If the horse is everything i want, but doesnt happen to have a "designer" pedigree, im still going to buy them. I still believe that the heart and try of the horse have just as much (if not more) to do with the horse succeeding versus what the pedigree says. But thats just me... |

Location: White Mountains of AZ | That makes a lot of sense actually. And he is a really nice looking horse and so are his babies. He throws huge butts and hips to his offspring that I have seen. Real nice looking conformation from what I've seen on his babies. |

Location: Kentucky | Google recent wins at futurities and rodeos and see what is winning. That's the lines I really look out for. The bottom side of this pedigree looks to be more halter, which I am not really interested in. Yes, conformation is important, but proven lines are equally important. There is a reason DTF, ASOF, FWF get are so popular now. It's not "designer" it's whats winning. |

While I like all of the lines you mentioned, I also like older working lines as well. This horse has some of the maternal lines I like, but they are way way back. I like War Leo and Mystic bars - but as far back as they are, I believe they do not make an influence on this stallion's foals. |

| The paint in my avatar has War Leo on his papers. He is 2013 Red World Champion in poles. There was a little girl that lives near me whose horse died and her grandmother just bought a horse. Turned out the horse was a consistent 1D borse. The girl placed in the finals at NBHA youth world. The horse had War Leo on her papers. Not after they got that horse I saw a horse advertised on bhw for$40,000. The horse had almost the same breeding as this horse. Over the years, Leo horses have made some pretty good barrel horses. I like DTF and FG horses and do try to breed for theses bloodline but I am partial to War Leo horses. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I don't know anything about this stud, but his female family-both sides, is pretty popular here in the cold states. I know of several ranchers that based their breeding programs on War Leo and Mistic Bar bloodlines. So even though they aren't nationally known, they are considered good breeding in my area. |

| I am actually the owner of Frenchman's Hardrive, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me directly, I appreciate the opinions pertaining to his pedigree. He does have a 60% performing producer record out of very limited foal crops. Currently several of his offspring are competing and placing or winning in multiple events and running 4/10 th's off some of the biggest names in the county.
