I'm looking for a feed with no molasses or corn. I would prefer no whole grains. Thanks:)

I just switched to Renew Gold - pretty happy with it once I FINALLY got my mare to EAT it. Most people say their horses love it but it took my picky one a little while to be convinced.

Renew Gold! I bought a mare last summer that was fed sweet feed, her coat was like wire. I brought her home and started her on renew, when her winter coat came in it was softer and a very different color. Now that her summer coat is coming in I can not stop petting her! She is super soft and like a completely different horses. All of her snorty, spookiness went away. She is so much more trainable it is unreal. When I switched my other horses before I bought her they weren't too excited at first. She actually loved it from day one, all of my horses lick their grain pans cleans morning and night. They all look better than ever and I could not be happier!

Bluebonnet feed makes a whole grain feed. I don't feed it but my friend who shows in reining on a 17 yr. old gelding does and she loves it.

I feed Renew Gold as well and had this problem. My mare loves it, but my gelding needed convincing (almost for a week) that it was actually something to eat. I mixed a little of his old grain with it, and slowly weaned him off. He now eats it very well and seems to really like it. Especially when it's got his Forco in it. Love the feed because there is no corn, and no molasses. My horses look and feel better than they ever have, and I thought they looked great before!

I feed renew gold with Max E glow rice bran and free choice grass alfalfa mix.  My horses on this look amazing, even through the winter they never got the long winter hair and even looked nice and slick!

I thought Renew gold was just a supplement....not a feed?

I'm currently feeding ultium. I really like the way it's made my horse fill out.

The way I understand it, is that it is used to supplement an all forage diet. So you can take your horses off all grain and just give forage and renew gold. A horse in work is only to have 1 1/2lbs a day.

I gotcha.....From the cost of it at TSC for a small bag...I'd rather grain LOL. Plus don't have much grass out here.

The 30# bag for $30 at Tractor Supply lasts 1 horse a whole month....so its really a lot cheaper.

Because the max e glow is cheaper but they wont eat it by itself.  I add the renew gold because they like it enough that when I mix it they will eat both.

HA - It took me over a MONTH to get my mare to eat it - I had to mix it with steam, rolled oats.

Hoofs - my feed bill has been cut in half due to the MUCH smaller amount you have to feed. A 30 pound bag will last one horse a month.

It seems strange to feed such a small amount after being used to feeding SO MUCH sweet feed but my mare is doing great on it!

I've got my gelding on ultium, gleam & gain 60, DMG, MSM, and forco...I'm feeding quite a bit of ultium daily though...I'll look into the renew gold.

Bluebonnet Intensify (?) is a nice feed - pricey, but not as much as Renew Gold.  It is 12% fat
