I've got an older mare that's refusing to load in the trailer. We fell at a barrel race last fall and I'm concerned she might still be sore from that. Basically just wanting to eliminate anything physical as being the cause of her unwillingness and hoping her stubborn attitude is my only issue here... Who do y'all recommend for lame/soreness issues in KS? Preferably the eastern half of the state...

I know it's in MO but not far from KS -- Dr. Bob McCrady at Raymore, MO. I've seen him do pretty extensive lameness exams on barrel horses and chose him to do Chance's SI injections about a year ago.
I've also heard good things about Heartland at Tonganoxie - a husband & wife team named Carlson - though I've not been there myself. I live 85 miles south of Topeka so I'm not in NE KS during the weeks. For a total mystery lameness, I'd make the almost 3 hour trip to Pryor, Oklahoma, to see Dr. Propp and the Lameness Locator.
