I keep my 5 Star clean by using a soft rubber curry on it in between use or the cleaning sponge it came with.

I have used a water hose on it but it takes forever for it to dry.

All mine came with a cleaning sponge to rub off the dirt and hair, sweat, but you can take a water hose to it and very lighty scrub with a soft brush the bottom to clean off the sweat and dirt, I dont use soap just plain water, and then I hang my blankets on my stand are wash rack, dont turn it over let it set the way its suppose to, if you trun it over it could mess up the spine of the blanket.

I do the same thing.  They are usually wet with sweat when I hang them on my pad rack.  When I go to use them the next day I use a rubber curry and brush off sometimes followed by the sponge.  Once a year I use the garden hose with cool water, no soap and hang them over a gate to dry.  make sure you hang them just like you do when on your horse.  Don't hang them upside down.

Thank you everyone! I bought mine second-hand so I don't have the special sponge. I figured it'd be ok to hose down, but wanted to make sure first.
