Am I doing it right??  How do I do the different ones to different saddle placement?  I ordered a leather latigo and off billet before looking at what was on the saddle (yes, dumb move).... And I looks like I just need two latigos?

Go on their website & pull up the Pozzi saddles - read the upper description about what Pozzi wanted in the saddle & click on the 3-way rigging.  It actually takes you to another page to show you pics of how to do it differently.  I do mine exactly how you have yours in the pic to equal the distribution of the saddle pressure - make sure you do both sides exactly the same.

I would use the ones they sent with the saddle until they wear out & need replaced.  Hope this has helped.

I talked to a Double J dealer yesterday about this. She said you want your first wrap to be straight up and down. So it depends on where you have your saddle placed on your horse. I put mine in the first slot for the first wrap and then the back for the second. This is what i was told....

Thats the way I have been doing mine also, the only thing I see is that your cinch is to short. What size is it?

It's the 32" that came with the saddle.... I was so confused while trying to just get saddled up that I didn't even pay attention.  I'll be sure an grab a 34" next ride!

This a a little OT, but where are the Pozzi's made to sit on the horse, on or behind the shoulder?

I had the same problem when I got mine.... so I did some research and this is what I found out...... You can either do a full rigging, which is straight up and down in the first spot. do 7/8th rigging which is the first them the diagonal, or a 3/4 which is the farthest right rigging. The most common is the 7/8th, unless you have an uphill or downhill horse. I presonally use the 7/8th on both of mine and seems to work good. Also I changed my saddle side latigo to leather, just personal preference. The off side tho is what I found interesting. I used the nylon one that came with the saddle.... I found that it is suppose to be the same on each side. Like if you cinch with 7/8th rigging then the off side needs to be 7/8th. Hope that helps!!

Southtexasponygirl that is interesting that you mentioned the cinch being too short.  I have been doing a lot of reading on that lately.  I could be wrong but it looks in this picture as tho the cinch has not been fully tightened yet.  So when it is it will be pulled up more.  From what they are now saying is you should have a shorter cinch rather than longer to avoid the rings putting pressure on some sensitive nerves and pressure points above the elbow on the side of the horse.  It hinders them from really stretching out.  I went from a 32 to a 30 and am now going to try a 28" as the 30" still hit mine fairly high up.  You want to stay just above the elbow.  Not sure what to think but I do get that there are some sensitive spots there.

If your horse is like mine, she blows out A LOT of air after walking around for a few minutes. My cinch on her looks waaayy too small when I first tighten it up, but after a few steps it's loosy goosy and tightens up to look normal.

I rig mine exactly how you have yours pictured. I've been using the cinch they gave me as well. After i ride around it seems to get looser and looser. By the end of the ride im on the last hole on either side. Guess i need to get myself a shorter cinch

Thanks for posting this!! I have been confused too!!

And for cinches I have went from a 34 to a 30 based on some reading and I like my 30 better

For the above poster that said they went to leather, do you like that? I'm thinking I want leather. I feel like the nylon stretches

I read an article recently that if you use a nylon billet make sure that the other one is leather. One of them streches more than the other.

Its not the nylon that will stretch, theres no give in the nylon off billets its the leather that will give, and the cinch will stretch also if its a mohair.  So you do need to go with a size smaller cinch if its mohair.

Curious about the cinch as well..... I think there is a vein that runs in that area??  This was a 32", but I like leather latigos/off billets 10x better.... And I can't go without my alpaca cinches.... Does this mean I'd need a 30 or even a 28 cinch?

This cinch just looks really short, was your horse cinch up snug in this picture?

No, just kinda put together quickly and I sent the picture to a girl I know that has a Double J.  I walked him down to the field where I ride and had to tighten both sides up.  If I ride tomorrow then I'll take pics fully cinched!

I don't use a mohair cinch. I have one of the Professional choice ones that are fuzzy soft. My horse must just fill up with air!  I have leather ones on my crown c and like it better.
