The woes of horse boarding.....

I just feel like venting....so don't mind my pity party.
We've been out of shavings for at least a month....
Arena and round pen aren't as nice as I thought. Hard pan with 1-2 inches of gravelly dirt. Makes my horse sore to work on that ground so I rode off property in search of softer ground...which is either in the washes, or on some strangers' cleared, undeveloped land...
I was going to be putting my horse in he long run, but that lasted all of 3 days. I came in on Monday and my horse had dug a small hole--and I've NEVER seen him dig. In his stall for the last 3 months and he hasn't done a thing. I think the younger horse he can see encouraged him; that one dug 2 really large holes in his pen....apparently they sat there all day and tried to outdig each other. Now my horse is being accused of digging the hole in the roundpen...even though he's never in the round pen alone because I'm here most nights. Just little stuff adding up...
I should be grateful that he's fed well and that he's here at all. Just a drama filled week....that, and rebuilding your "horse stuff" collection is really expensive. Wish my brother wouldn't have lost half of it! Rawr I'm done now.

They are mad over a
"hole"
?
My Lord... I wish a hole was the only problem I had. Heck, we have blue heelers that dig holes big enough to bury a small car.
I'm sorry they are giving you so much grief over something so minor. I hope it gets better soon!
