 I Want a "MAN"
Location: MD | I'm interested too! I have a horse I bought back recently that wasn't fed very well. His topline is not what it used to be. I have him on Forco good quality orchard, grain, and legging him up. I wanted to add alfalfa pellets to his grain for extra protein and help with bloom. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | It depends on how much forage a horse gets throughout the day. Horses are supposed to have a certain amount of forage (grass, hay etc) per day per body weight.
Mine get 5 pounds for the mare and 8 for the gelding each because of free choice hay, pasture, etc.My gelding is also more active and taller than my mare.
ETA: I don't feed any pelleted feed. Only hay and hay pellets.

Maybe start with 2-3 pounds for a week or two and adjust from there? |

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | I have been feeding this for almost a year now. I have a plastic feed scoop, the kind you get from the farm store, and I feed 1 lb a day and that measures to the 2 qt line perfectly. |

| 3 lbs morning and night, along with 1 lb of Ultium, and .5 lbs of Renew Gold. Free choice coastal/grass hay. They look and feel great. Had to back my little cowhorse down off the alfalfa pellets, she's not getting Ultium, she's quite chunky! |

You can do either. Pellets are MUCH easier than cubes. I usually feed mine dry in the morning and wet the grain/pellet mix in the evening, i feed my supplements at night. They seem to lick the bowls clean when its in a mash, and get very picky about supplements when its dry. (thats my reasoning behind the wetting of the mix) But again, you dont have to. |

I soak mine but my cousin feeds the same brand (Standlee) and doesn't soak them. |
