Mature beyond Years

I'm finishing up my junior year of University (where has the time gone?) and need advice about what to do this summer, like always. Unfortunately with oil prices down and the general slow of economy here, it's hard to find full time summer jobs (plus I have a useless major, but that's another story). I currently work every Monday, every second Fri/Sat for my employer. I despise my job, with that being said I make bank (piece rate, but I make more working part time than working full time at a job that would pay $12/hr) and it's a "grown up" job and looks very good on a resume. What I'm making now does pay my bills but as always more money = good. This is also dependent on if I need a 4th knee surgery this summer (find out on the 30th). As far as taking spring semester goes- my last ditch resort. I've done school spring or summer the past 2 years plus regular fall/winter and I'm flat out burnt out. With that being said, the class I would take is with a prof I've had multiple times. I have until May 13th to decide.

Option 1: Keep job, find a second part time job, take a class or two during spring semester to lighten load for my final year.
Option 2: Try and find a full time job
Option 3: Keep job, buy a colt or two and ride as my second job and barrel race more, and take a class or two
Option 4: Move back "home" with my aunt and uncle and work on a friend's dairy farm

If it were me knowing what I know now or maybe it is just the situation I am in currently I would say get to it and get the classes done. If your current job gets you by comfortably than keep it and if your finances allow then go to school as hard core as you can and finish it up. Then you will have more possibilities that you can fully enjoy later.
I currently am still working towards my bachelors online, am a mother of a 1 1/2 year old, have a part time job, am a wife, and am trying to train 3 colts....I would say I have a few too many irons in the fire to do a very good job at any of them. I find with horses it sounds easy peasy to train and go to school and maybe you are much more regimented than me but often my horses or school get pushed to the side. And with horses as with many other things the more consistent you can be the better.
So in my opinion dig deep, work hard, finish up school and then go on and really live your dreams with a sense of accomplishment. You can do it :)

if you have the $$, I would finish school! I did a summer semester last year for my last semester of school. It was shorter so more intense but well worth it! I was able to get a fulltime job and pass boards by October whereas I wouldn't have started working until Feb if I had waited to graduate in Dec.

Suck it up and finish school. I remember thinking the same thing when I was at the same point you are. Keep going and finish your degree. Before you know it, you will be done and graduate. I think most people go through the same thing you are. You can do it! Good luck!

I would find another part time job to do when you're not working at your other one.  Waitressing....fast food....something to keep you busy.  I myself and looking for a second job so I can afford this daggum horse of mine!  I wouldn't do school if you are burnt out...I really appreciated my summers!
