My husband just got offered a major promotion to move to that area. What's it like? We are lifelong residents of washington state. I have never even been on a plane lol

My daughter moved there last year and loves it. Can't tell you much about the horse stuff.

I'm from NC, but we have friends that live in Greenville & love it. It's a really neat town. It's also a close drive to the beach & mountains, so you can do a weekend getaway either place.

Property is affordable compared to most places. NBHA is pretty big, and there are quite a few IBRA & other big barrel races. It's an easy drive to the WNC Ag Center, and there are several bigger added money shows there every year. There are also some rodeo associations that you can run at.
The climate is mild, so you can ride all year. Summer is a little hot, I usually try to get out early in the day. Bugs can be bad in summer.
