Location: Bastrop, Texas | Every so often this comes up, and I would think the answer should be simple to find, but so far I haven't seen one. Here goes: What is the official world record on a standard, regulation pole bending pattern? I'm not asking for some "recollection" of so-and-so running an 18.8 or 18.9 (minus a tipped pole -ahem!). I want to know if there is an official world record, and where can I look it up? I posted this question on the NPBA Facebook page, and so far no answers. A lot of times people set up patterns using tape measures, but they have to cut the distance to the timeline short, because of the size of the arena, etc.... Every time this comes up, someone swears it's 18-something, but then it can't be verified. Right now, I don't know if the world record (OFFICIAL) is 19.15 or 18.9, or whatever. |

Location: In Ky following Barrel Races & Walker hounds. | I found this, but to me a +5/NT wouldnt count as breaking the record... And phew, that horse hurts my back and guts to watch lol looks like a rough ride in between poles! But still SUPER talented!

Here's a faster one: 19.16. Not by Troy though. This is what I mean.... nobody really knows, and I would think that's a record that is easy to keep track of and verify. No matter how fast a run is, I'm not interested in an 18.9.....with a tipped pole.

That didn't even win the class!!
Here are the results from Congress for that year. http://www.oqha.com/aaqhc/results/?year=2005
You can find a lot of results from the Congress Sr Pole Bending and Sweepstakes classes. There have been a handful of 19.1's and 19.0's throughout the years. Brannons Nonstop Jet ran a 19.00 one year. Lassie Lender with Daryll Logan ran a few 19.1's and 19.2's
