I have been a part of this board a long time (I think 7 years now) and LEARNED a lot but no longer come on much because of the snarky replies... If I was new to this board I darn sure would not post any questions here... |

| Eh. I just choose to ignore it. It's everywhere, part of the world. You have to see the good and let the bad pass you by love. =) If you're focused on the clouds, you'll miss the sun peeping through! |

You need to have thick skin when asking a question on a public forum. You will get harsh answers and HONEST answers. Most people comment they way they do because they love animals and we have seen all too often, stupidity get these animals that we love so much hurt. Don't get me wrong some people may step over the line a little but that's the internet for you, people can hide behind their screens. I will also say that I have learnt A LOT on here so I thank you!!! |

oh no its more so in response to the floating thread and a few other threads of other people. Troll or not- thats a NEW board member who asked a question. I come across GOBS of people who just really don't know everyday. Why is it so wrong for that person to ask a question and LEARN. |

True! THis made me laugh. It comes in spurts I believe. I also believe the hot-as-hell summer snarkiness is my least favorite. We ar eall already miserable, why make each other feel even more miserable when we are trying to stay inside for a bit and cool down? The winter cabin-fever snarkiness is a little easier to deal with to me since most are just complaining or jealous of the ones who can ride during the winter LOL
And don't get me started on the NFR Snarkiness.... I need to start ducking tail and hiding on here during the NFR lol

| I know a newbie posted about a particular breeding and I came off as snarky, tho I was more meaning it to be tongue-in-cheek, or smarta$$.
Then again, posting a question about that particular breeding on your second post ever seemed a little troll-like to me, so maybe it was all smarta$$. |

One thread and you think everyone is snarky these days? I dont think that is fair to bhw.. there is alot of helpful and good threads on here these last few months and I think its gotten alot better.. |

Very well said , its so hard to put feelings in words when you are typing and trying to say something and then someone takes it to heart that they are being singled out. There is so much good on here and I think the good out weights the bad on BHW. |

Agreed......most people don't realize that there are always 1500-2000 members logged on at one time....IF you ask a question on a Forum of that size you are surely going to get the "Good, Bad, or Ugly" depending on the moment. More likely than not, what a person sometimes takes for "snarky" is just an HONEST opinion with no sunshine and butterflies. What does MORE harm is those who continually bring this subject up trying to stir the pot......JMO! |
