Location: Nebraska | Soon I will be in the market for another saddle, so I'm eyeing a number of different brands and types. But I have a problem- I don't know which one to go for! Currently I am riding in a Bob Marshall treeless, but I'd like to switch to something treed. Used, these brands are often going for prices within my budget, so I want to know: which ones did you like and why? What model do you ride in? What about the ones you dislike that are in this poll, and what part(s) did you not like?

Location: Oklahoma | I ride in a Double J Pozzi now and I love it, but before it I was in a Martin. The quality of the Martin was great, just not the saddle I needed.

Location: Texas | The poll only lets us choose one brand, so I chose my favorite, Martin. I had or have every brand on the poll, and Double J and Martin are my favorites. They fit my horses great, ride good, are comfortable and are well made, quality saddles. Martin saddles are a little bit better, in my opinion.

Location: Montana | I've had Circle Y, Courts (not Sharon Camarillo), and Double J, and the Circle Y and Courts fit me and my mare the best. I bought a Double J for my gelding, but it doesn't fit either one of us very well...and maybe it is just the style of it. I would be pleased, though, to have another Circle Y or Courts if it fit me and my horse. I'm open to other brands too, those I just had the best luck with fit.

| If I could afford one I would buy a Double J, since we could only pick one but there are several I would be happy to own, it would be a matter of what the horse and I actually need. I've owned in the past, a Double J, Martin, Circle Y and Cactus. I love my Cactus but unfortunately my horse does not. Martin was too heavy, Double J (at that time) was way too narrow, I have two very old Circle Y's that are still good saddles that have stood the test of time and a lot of riding.
When picking the right saddle it really depends on what your horse will need as far as fit, what you like as far as fit and if you have any other needs like lightweight, flex tree, and of course price. I'm currently trying to fit a picky mare who much prefers a lightweight saddle with short skirts/bars, so far the Circle Y Kelly Kaminski Blaze seems to be the only one meeting those requirements and is affordable, since I can never find the size I need used or in stock, I always get stuck have to get one made.

Location: NC | I recently bought a used iron horse Martin and really like it. The leather seems like good quality, it rides nice and seems to fit my flatter backed horses well. I always seem to have hard to fit horses and it seems to be working. I havn't had it long or tried it on anything besides my two but so far I am impressed.
