Please let me know. I have one that will paw a hole to china in about 10 minutes if left alone. I have tried tying him up at home by himself etc. No worky. lol Even if he is in a parking area with lots of other horses around he gets that way.

Get a goat! Leslie W. and Brookstone Forever just won some big money with their goat LOL To quote her , "the secrets of a champion lies in the wisdom of a goat!" That might not be the exact quote but something like that...I thought it was too cute!

I'm not hauling a goat with me to races. lol But what I do is just bring him along with me and have someone hold him near the ally as I make my run.

because their herd animals I don't know if you ever will, especially if it's an older horse and the behavior has been going on for sometime. Young one's, caught early, can be conditioned to deal with separation. If you have access to someone that works off horse back, sun up to sun down, it could be really good for horses with separation issues. They don't have time to think about who's around, who's not around, where all the other horses are, etc. After a week or two, standing resting at the trailer by them selves is something they look forward too. If it's an older horse I think I would just try to find something that will help minimize the stress level, rather than fight it.

I have a 5yr old mare who suddenly decided to be anxious about her buddies leaving her but only when we were out at races. She is fine to go ride and goes in and works without worrying. I just tried OxyZen last weekend and was really impressed with how it helped her. She was much more quiet and less nervous. I am hoping a few times and maybe she will realize she is ok alone.

Location: South Central Florida | I have 6 horses. 3 of them have this issue. One is really bad, gave up and just put her in the trailer (which she loves) when she is alone. But I have a problem with 2 of them and I rotate them pasture wise, and try hard to rotate who hauls when and with who...but they still get crazy about leaving the "group". I just continue to rotate and try to work on keeping them seperated as much as possible.

I have a horse like this .. So annoying ! She's just terrible .. If you turn one horse out of order in the mornings she goes stupid! Doesn't matter what horse it is .. You might leave her alone or something ! Drives me nuts
