Location: Louisiana | I'm wanting to be more organized this year. My season doesn't kick off for another 8 weeks, but I'm already juggling dates and associations in my head. Any particular planner you guys prefer? I'm a fan of pen and paper over computer programs/calendars.
My biggest complaint about most is they make the weekends tiny, I like to record my times and winning times, etc. I'm thinking I'll start recording our workouts and such. Perhaps that will motivate me, the need to fill the spaces haha. Thanks!! |

Location: Oklahoma | I always buy an At-A-Glance planner each year. I get the ones that are the size of a regular notebook. It starts each month out with a block calendar and then goes on to the days. Each full size page has three days and a notes section or four days. Each day has seven horizontal lines. Plenty of space for me to write notes down about arenas and vet appointments, entry deadlines, etc. They are sturdy and come in cute colors. My one for 2016 is hot pink with black and purple/pink florals on the page edges.
This one isn't mine, but it shows you the layout.

I'm like you.... I like to have pen/paper over my phone.... but I will say that OIJA has a pretty rockin' app on her phone for tracking stuff.
Okay, now I'm going to go away since I realize that I just wrote an entire descriptive post about my planner.

| Don't feel bad, Monday was a big day for me because my 2016 planner officially started with 12/28. I'm kind of a freak and love a fresh new start!
I use an at a glance as well. Saturday is pretty full size, Sunday is pretty small. I use it to schedule the rest of my life too and the days are broken up into 15 min time slots which is great |

| I used the at-a-glance planners in college to schedule everything under the sun. I fell away after school and then this last summer jumped back in with a flourish with details from our wedding, vet appointments, mtd shooting events, and life in general. I now wonder WTH wasn't I using one before?? LOL.
As a side note, I tried a couple apps ... and decided I hated them since my phone dies pretty easily and I don't have a tablet yet. I would think the apps would be pretty cool if used on a tablet and you could synch or save video of runs onto specific dates ... hmmmmmm ..... BB's come hither and tell us what we need!!!!! |

Location: Near Kaufman, TX | I absolutely love the Erin Condren Planners. They are honestly my favorite planners and you can choose if you want your days hourly, horizontal, or vertical. Each month has the full calendar at the beginning and then it's broke down by days. Here is a link and it will save you $10 off of your first order. I would have never ordered one if a friend hadn't sent me the code to try them out. http://erincondren.com/referral/invite/danyalleshaw0207 |

Location: fixin to change | I get everyone in my family a personalized planner for Christmas. I love the planners made by Erin Condren. The orders used to go through tinyprints.com but she has her own website now. You can choose one of her designs or customize with a picture. I decided to try Walgreens this year and I regret it already and I've only entered birthdays on it. I don't like the format and the pictures are fuzzy on the covers. |

Location: Idaho | I love planners! I am trying the passion planner this year. So far I like it! I also plan on getting the barrel racing records book when I start hauling. I've always been kind of bad about keeping track of my expenses and earnings during my travels. Thinking I might give it a try this year..... http://rodeolog.com/products/barrel-racing-log-book |

Since I've never been a planner person, I bought a "Plan Ahead" planner at Walmart. I told myself if I keep up with it for 12 months I'll splurge on one of the nice hardcovers next year. |

Location: Texas | I love the Passion Planner but this year I am using the KitLife planner and so far it has been my favorite. I have used Erin Condren, Day Designer, Simplified planner, plum planner and none seem to let me balance my outside sales job, barrel racing schedule and personal life. So far the Kitlife lets me do all in one planner. The only thing I didn't like about the passion planner was the scheduled times. My schedule is crazy and that doesn't work for me.
Good Luck I know the struggle is real. |

| As awards this past year we gave the barrel racing record books out. We had custom cow hide covers made for them and put a book in each. They made great awards.

 "Sweetheart of the Rodeo"
Location: Montana | Google the bullet journal. Basically you make a planner yourself to fit your needs. I'm starting one for this year and already LOVE it! It does take some time to set up but it depends on how "festive" you want it to be too. There are a lot of ideas on Pinterest as well. |
