Location: North Dakota		My mare loves having her teats cleaned! She has bad heat cycles so I just bought a bottle of Regumate. I have never caslicked a mare though I have thought about it.

Location: South Central Florida		We had one scratch all the hair off her tail, treated for several things like lice and scratches. . . turned out to be the gunk between her teets.  I wash it when I can, but daughters main mare will eat you if you try.  She HATES it and I'm not getting cow kicked.  I squirt the hose hard between and she does the same, but soap and water is rare.  Other mares we do wash, it gets suprisingly "crusty" up there.  I read it's call the same thing as the "gunk" males get. . . shmegma, no idea how to spell that.
