Location: Louisiana | My husband, a team roper, traded his heel horse for a new barrel horse!! I was so surprised!! He came from our friends. They had turned him out bc he's a little too strong for their little girl to run. I ran him in a pinch a year ago and was about a half second off at the rodeo. A couple weeks ago they asked me to hop on and run him bc they wanted to sell him. He's fat and out of shape and ran in the bottom of the 1-D. The next week I placed 2nd in the 2-D against a gal that is as tough as it gets around here. Then my hubby surprised me with him!! He thought he looked good and he has been roped on before so he can ride him if one of his horses is out. Did I mention he's a team roper who just bought a barrel horse?!

| My X ALWAYS and ALWAYS wanted to rope off of my barrel horses because they were better trained than his rope horses. I went to a roping school with my two barrel horses I was hauling at the time and the instructor got on one of my for a demonstration of how a horse should be collected and side pass. You should have seen the look on the instructor's face. He wanted to know what else I did with the horse and I said mainly barrel race. LOL Oh...the instructor was Walt Woodward. |

Location: Louisiana | Ok guys I forgot to take pictures. I got this one after our ride today. He wouldn't let me get a side shot LOL. I linked my run on him from a couple weeks ago, hopefully it works. That was my first time in his back in over a year and he's been turned out for a while. I'll try to post a couple pics from that run, they're screenshots but I did purchase the physical photos. https://instagram.com/p/2_i4vsiwER/ |
