Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | I'm the awards director for a playday association...we've given great stuff in the past, now someone wants to give a wool blanket with the leather cornerpiece for 3rd place. Everybody I know uses pads, not the thin blankets...what do you think? |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I have a few that were awards, I dont use them but they are my winnings so was pleased with them, I think if they are thin enough you could put them over your pads if wanted. I know that you can get a wool pad for awards that you can have the cornerpiece done up as an award. I know that 5 Star does this. |

| I have several I have won and several I bought. I use mine with a wool liner under them. |

I'd prefer a 5 star.
if you want to do a blanket, do a nice Pendleton wool blanket and you can get it embroidered |

| I agree- I would rather get a pad than a saddle blanket...but, it's an award and I would be happy with it anyways. I know that 5 star, Professional's Choice, and I think Best Ever offer this service. |
