| How do you clean your SMBs? I haven't found a method that really works yet! It's impossible to get my light blue boots clean again! All of them have been rinsed 3 times and ran through the washer twice and still look dirty! They have lots of sand stuck on them. |

Location: North Dakota | I used the washing machine once and never again. It doesn't get them clean, IMO.
Good ol' elbow grease.
What I do is fill the utility sink in the garage with warm water and Oxyclean detergent. Then I let the boots soak for an hour or two, or overnight. Then I put the "jet" setting on the water hose attachment (again, with warm water) to spray the inside and outside of the boots. I use a soft brush to work free any tough dirt. For really light-colored boots (white or otherwise) I use a spot stain remover and really rub/scrub it in and use it multiple times if needed. Then rinse, rinse, rinse.

| Brush the dirt off while dry. Soak on Oxy. Then I wash them in the washer with Tide and Oxy. This usually gets my white ones clean too.

| After every race, I clean my race boots and race polos (one specific set that I race in. haha). I put them in a bucket, antibacterial horse shampoo, and scrub. I rinse with the jet setting. |

| Pressure washer and elbow grease. and I agree with whoever said brush them off while dry. I also have a "show" set, but DON'T put them through the washer...if you do and they get ruined the warranty is voided. |

Location: TN | First I spray them off with the water hose (with the sprayer on jet setting) then soak them in Oxy-Clean for a few hours. Then pull them out and spray them off again. This usually works well, but if you have set in stains you might want to scrub a little or use some spray on spot cleaner before soaking. |

Location: TN | Ditto on the pressure washer!! I wash boots and horse blankets both with the pressure washer. |

| I love to use my washing machine for washing polos and boots. I knock the majority of the dirt off, then just throw them in with a little detergent (not a lot, incase the horses have a reaction) and some oxy clean and they come up looking brand new. I live in an area where we have a lot of red clay, and there is no way that I could scrub out red clay stains on some of my boots. And they aren't even solid white. |
