I currently ride in an old MJ short horn. I have a super catty, athletic, hard turning mare. The more speed we add, the more obvious it is that I will need something a little more "secure."
My question:
I'm on a $1k or less
(preferably less
) budget. What are my options for a saddle that will keep me centered as I get two handed and ride across the pen? I feel like I just need more swell than what the MJ has. TIA!

I'd love for an older Shiloh. They ride very balanced.

I agree with Herbie, I have an older Jordan Peterson Contender and the way the swells are shaped makes it very secure. I gave mine to my son to help him feel more secure riding his step up horse. It fits alot of horses well also, the only ones it doesn't fit great are the very flat backed horses.

Shallow Creek Saddles have a nice deep seat and really make me feel secure. Definitely affordable and great quality work!
