The Resident Destroyer of Liberal Logic
  
Location: PNW | So this gelding broke his P2 in December and has been checked, checked, and rechecked - and is 100% sound. This is his fourth run back after his injury, and our sixth run ever. We've been coming back slowly and adding a little more speed with each run, and he's handling everything FANTASTICALLY. I couldn't be more proud of him.

Always feels good when your hard work comes to fruition. Apparently, you have done the right thing in getting it to heal.
It was a loooooooooong six months of stall rest, let me tell you. He turns into a dragon in a stall, which is how he broke it - kicking walls because he was stuck inside because of extreme flooding. He had to be kept on reserpine, plus ace for his hand walking. We also were driving him six hours one way every two weeks for vet appointments and treatments.
We weren't sure if he'd be anything other than a fancy lawnmower, so to have him come back 100% is such a blessing/relief. There's a lot of big plans for this guy, and it was horrible to see them circling the drain over something as stupid as kicking walls.

Location: MI | I didn't, but realized one day that we were no longer friends. I didn't know if I had fat fingered something or if I wasn't a good friend, lol! Wasn't offended if it was me, but missed the updates! |
