| I have a new horse that is making me crazy with saddle fit. I had Double J fit him and a wide, #10 pozzi fit almost perfect. Problem is, I do not like how that saddle rode, period. Threw me forward horribly, so I sold it and I'm back to square one.So, is there a tree similar to the #10 but a nicer ride? I've heard glowing reviews of Caldwell, but haven't tried one yet. Someone suggested I look at Triple Creeks too. I tried a cactus CJ on him but it didn't have enough rock for him. I wouldn't be opposed to a treeless either. I will try to get pictures this evening. Ugh, the saddle fit game is zero fun. |

Location: Red Raiderland | Find someone with a ProMax or a MaxxedOut Caldwell(these are their wider trees)and give them a try. They have good flare and rock in them. Caldwells ride extremely balanced. I have a ProMax that you are welcome to try if you're in the NC Texas area. I know I will be at Win$More's show in mid Oct and BBR TX/OK Reg. Finals at the end of Oct. Saddle shopping is tedious and I feel for ya. |

| Does the #10 tree come in just the Pro, not Pozzi's version of it?? When I went to have my horse fitted by them, she fit into a regular tree, so I picked the pro over the pozzi. I HATED the pozzi because of the reasons you described, while the Pro was like a dream. |

| Without a doubt, I would try a Pro Rider with the 7" gullet. They make a 7.5 as a special order, but the 7 will fit a lot of horses.....They ride great as well! |

| Thank you all for the suggestions! What about a crown c? Someone mentioned to me that they have decent rock as well. Just not sure about the giant gullet size my big not would need. |

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | Contact Meleta Brown, her freedom saddle has the flare and the rock you're looking for. The only downside....Crates has sold their warehouse and aren't making this saddle anymore, they are looking for another manufacturer for the saddle. So if it works, you'll have to find a used one. |

Location: Oklahoma | I would not suggest the Triple Creek. I have a Pozzi and LOVE it because I feel that I sit deeper in it, but IMO the Triple Creek pitches me forward. I think a Crown C would do the same thing. I haven't sat in a Double J Pro, but I bet it would fit the bill! Good luck! |
