Prayers for policeman's family

A young policeman was shot and killed last night in Shreveport LA. The guy that shot him already had a warrant out for attempted murder from shooting a guy 6 times plus a lenghty criminal record. I do not understand why this guy was still out on the street. I am just asking for prayers for the young man's family and the rest of the Shreveport police department who went above and beyond to apprehend the shooter.

50 policeman immediately showed up at the hospital. At least that many off duty officers joined in the search along with US Marshalls and FBI. FBI put up a $25,000 reward. Bad part of town but those neighbors were scared. This idiot had a record from 2004. What happen to THREE STRIKES YOU'RE OU? I would like to know where he got the gun. Bet it wasn't Bass Pro. I am really surprised he was taken alive because those policed were ****ed.

they found him in a garage drinking a beer, i hope they took in the owner of the garage as well because you know he knew he was being looked for... the police officer had also worked previously at a local new stations it was heart breaking watching the news last night as they all had to hold their composure during the story. continued prayers for the family and extended family.

We lost a young officer in Memphis this last week as well. He just pulled over a guy at a regular traffic stop. The driver shot him -- he has been apprehended. And yes, he had a lengthy record as well. The officers in town circled the interstate with a "sea of blue" to pay their respects on Wednesday night. So sad.

Yes, I saw that on the news also. That was just as heartbreaking. Someone posted on facebook ---- Remember when we thought of police and firemen as our hero's? Many, many prayers for the policeman from Memphis.

This officer was white and was shot by a black guy. There are vdeos all over face book showing whites, and blacks lining tñe highway for his trip home. All the way down. Interstate 49 the police from each parish lined the highway. Quite a display of respect. Very sad.
I need to add that it wasabout103 degrees today so everyone who was out there wanted to be.

So very sad. My husband is in law enforcement and will retire in November. It can't get here soon enough.
Sending prayers.
