This is a client's horse. Previously diagnosed with ring bone.

Black hooves are getting white spots on them. Just wondering if anyone had experience with this?


Yes, multiple vets have been contacted and they all scratch their heads.

My 10 year mare started getting white stripes in her front hooves last year.  Her hooves had always been solid black.  She was having some heel soreness.  I've taken her to several vets and got different diagnosis, but only one of them said they knew what the color change was.  He claimed it was due to pressure points.  I put her in hoof boots for a while and she's a lot better unfortunately she is now out due to a different injury and is in foal.  However her front hooves are still striped.
