This will probably be about as successful as every other thing that Charmayne has been involved in. Lol

The red carpet arrival was a bit cheesy.  Where were all the fans and paparazi?

This is just something I noticed in the video and notice often in interviews.....
Please elite rodeo athletes say "World Championship", not World's Championship".... When saying World's with an apostrophe s it should be for a contraction....  such as it's (it is) or possession such as her's meaning belonging to.  It is a world championship, not "world's".  World's is not a contraction for anything and the world is not in ownership of the championship.  Trevor's horse is possessive showing ownership.  Trevor's umpteenth championship buckle is possessive showing ownership.  Trevor's been roping a lot is a contraction for Trevor has. The championship does not belong to the world.

I think the whole thing will be very interesting and exciting.

RunninOnARooster - 2015-08-28 4:03 PM She made a FB post of a video winning a recent rodeo with the comment saying something like not bad for not being considered an "elite"

Snarky much? My goodness. She wasn't the only world champion not invited.

I wasn't trying to be snarky. I was just sharing what she posting on fb. I don't have an opinion either way about who is invited or not.

Sometimes I get the feeling, the way things are worded that it is not Mary putting up or commenting on posts--somebody else may have actually been the one making the comment. Understand it is still "her" page.

Byron posted it to his page and Mary shared it to hers. So they both did it. There was another post by Byron defining the meaning of chopped liver.

I also thought it to be a conflict if interests when the board members will be the ones competing. Also, the comments being made about how they "deserve" their own association where they compete with the best, implying that they're too good to compete against everyone else... Very uppity and rude to me... They all started out at the bottom, so why diss everyone who is there now!?

The PBR orginal members/board members who put up their money to start the PBR were also able to compete in the association.  Many of them were PBR champions over the years. It has worked well for the PBR it seems.  I wonder if the ERA will be set up to operate similar to the PBR. However, the PBR has challenger events to try to work their way up to the exclusive featured events with the top 45.  They also have a way of determining if someone gets booted out of the Built Ford Tough Tour top 45 thing too.  I wonder if ERA will do that.  Will they boot contestants out if they aren't cutting the mustard and move others in their place or just wait until they choose to retire?

It says on their facebook page they will announce in October how contestants qualified to be ERA members.  Why wait   to explain that. I will watch it on tv if I can get the channel.

I have a lot of questions also, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the ERA can do. We've all heard the PRCA talk for years about working to get rodeo to the forefront. The idea was good, the execution wasn't. The ERA is actually making a concerted effort to get something to happen and they're making moves that the PRCA never did. Whether or not the general public will embrace rodeo as they do the Super Bowl is yet to be seen, but flashy events like the American and the success of the PBR have proven that more opportunities exist than what we all previously thought were possible.

I wasn't trying to say you were. Sorry about that! I was referring to Mary.

The finals they are promoting is November 2016.

I guess I must have been looking at the tickets on sale date and not the rodeo date.
