Have a worry-wart horse? Just curious if horses can have that or not. I have a mare she is 15 and she just seems to worry about everything. Only thing is she worries and takes it out on food, not like she worries the weight off she seems to accumulate it. She worries that another horse
(I only have the 3
) may be getting something better to eat than she is, she worries because she can't see the other two when in the pasture. I only ask this because it just seems like she is hungry ALL the time and she is far far from being underfed. Anybody else have this kind of horse or had this kind of horse. She drives me crazy sometimes.

What are you feeding her?
Some horses are harder keepers and do stress a lot more. High energy feed makes them worse usually, and their energy/ worry can often be a sign of pain like ulcers or an underlying soundness issue. It can also be a sign of a calcim/ phosphorous imbalance.

She has been like this her whole life and I raised her as a baby and had her mother. I feed Bluebonnet and a small amount of alfalfa cubes with THE products. You know how Zenyatta used to dance
(or that is what people called it
) well this mare when I was roping on her in the heeling side would raise first her left front leg set it down then raise her right leg and set it down then we were good to go and I would tell the header that when she gets done with both front feet they can node for the steer. Same way barrel racing when you were warming her up I would go stand in a corner about two calls out in front of me so she could do her lifting the front legs thing. Weird girl. No I have not had her scoped or checked with ulcers.

Oh she is not a hard keeper, she is fat, not obese but she is carrying way too much for her size.
