small cut between a horses fetlock and pastern, not really on the joint but not down on the pastern either, caused no damage to the joint or any tendons but has caused some soft tissue scaring and it will be "thicker" there. How much would this bother you if you were looking at a prospect? Like a broke and started prospect. Basically is that a deal breaker for you on a prospect? I realize there are a million other nice horses without cosmetic issues (or any) but if you tried the horse and couldn't find anything else wrong with it...

Too many things to go wrong in that area.

I would do a thorough vet check including X-rays and ultrasound of cannon bone and down.

Also the price would have to reflect the injury, and bloodlines need to be there for me to consider

what do you mean to many things can go wrong? If things would have gone wrong with the injury, wouldn't they have already?


old injury, healed and vet checks clean (xray & ultrasound of fetlock and pastern)

Location: MT		Wouldn't bother me.   I've had several that had old scars in that area, never had a single problem with one of them, they were all cosmetic.
