Just curious.. Does anyone think it's weird to have a whole wedding ceremony and reception to renew vows? We were very tight on money when we got married and didn't want to wait.. So we went to the court house with very close family and got married.. But it's also important to me to have a wedding and a small reception, so would anyone be willing to go to something like that if it were someone in their family? We want to do it for our 5 year anniversary.

Thanks! :)

If someone in my family, or even a good friend, invites me to a renewal of their wedding vows, certainly I would go. Friends and family are very important to me.

If it makes you all happy, is not hurting anything, go for it

Considering you didn't do the whole shebang on the first one...  I'd do it.  If a guest doesn't want to come, they don't have to.

My husband and I have been together for 11 years, married 5. We did have a typical wedding, but it wasn't the one that I wanted. I hated it. I'd like to renew our vows at the beach, by ourselves. I think renewals have their place.

I think it is an awesome idea. If someone in my family or a close friend were to do it I would be there for sure.

Mine are too. I just wanted a different ceremony than I had when I was 24

Nothing wrong with that at all.
