Hey everyone, I'm currently looking into getting my horse insured. I was just curious what companies everyone has had good experience with! Thank you!

I currently use Wilkins. I have my broodmare and weanling under a policy. I haven't had to
(thankfully
) file a claim yet. They are quick to respond and they do accept payments.

I'm also with Wilkins and thankfully haven't had to file a claim yet, either. They have been easy to work with thus far, though.

I use Markel. Haven't had any claims, so no knowledge on that. The reason I used them was, I could apply everything online and not have to talk to anybody. LOL.
I did visit with an Albracht agent at a barrel race not long ago. They were a little bit cheaper
(not much
). Migt try them for another horse.

Plains Horizon Equine Insurance is who I switched to. I used to use Markel, but they were very hard to work after I made a claim because a horse of mine got very sick and needed to stay at the vets for tests. Plains Horizon seems very open and easy to talk to. They have full risk mortality with 5K emergency colic surgery for 3.3% insured value. I have not made a claim with them yet though.

Broadstone - they've been super easy to work with. Unfortunately we did have to file a claim....they were very easy to work with and super understanding.
(and paid promptly with no headaches
)

Albracht for me. I luckily haven't had to "use" the insurance, but they have been very easy to do business with and offer competitive rates. They were happy to answer any of my hundreds of questions I asked regarding major medical vs. morality and took the time to explain each detail. I have been very happy with them.

Cinquini Insurance! Stacey is the best and really fights for you. 949-289-4722 He also helped my friend when their tractor broke. He got the rental cost covered too. Whenever I have any questions I don't have a problem calling him up and asking. I feel like he is on my side 110%
edited to add: They accept payments and it is spread out over 6 months, making it very easy to afford.

I use Muirfield Insurance and they have been wonderful. I have had to file a claim and they were great to work with. Their office is local so that is nice.
